50 Metres: Singapore's Swimming Pools (2nd Edition) is planned for publication in Q4 this year.
We are looking out for new stories (public swimming pools) as well as old photographs (especially of any swimming pool that has closed). Please send your submissions to kucinta(.)pools(@)gmail(.)com any time till 1 June.
We would like to improve on the book "50 Metres: Our Swimming Pools", and are requesting comments, feedback and suggestions for amendment or improvement. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also looking for old photographs of any of the public swimming facilities in Singapore. Readers are also welcome to send in their swimming pool stories.
"50 Metres" was published in 2015 as part of the SG50 celebrations. The project account on Facebook remains open: www.facebook.com/50metres.
Our SG50 Celebration Fund book project - 50 METRES: OUR SWIMMING POOLS - was featured on Channel NewsAsia's "On the Red Dot" programme on Channel 5 on Christmas Day.
The hour-long show that began at 9.30pm looked back on significant events of 2015, including founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's passing in March and the Southeast Asian Games (SEA) in June.
Catch a recording of the programme on On The Red Dot (Catch-Up) here.
Please note that Jocelyn should have said "Mt Emily" (first public swimming pool to open in Singapore) instead of "Gillman".
The book will continue to be sold until 31 December 2015.
Last Thursday, we had rousing support at the mini exhibition and private book launch for Anita Ryanto's debut book - SHIOK, SIA! SKETCHING FAVOURITE SINGAPORE STREET FOOD.
