We are wrapping up soon! Please tell your friends that we are hoping to hear from more younger residents, young families and students. Especially, families with small children who currently visit public swimming pools, or students who are currently learning to swim at a public pool.
We are not looking for writing ability. We are looking for details, e.g. about why you visit a particular pool, or how you spend your swimming sessions. We can help you write up the story or give you suggestions for what story angle would be interesting.
These are the pools that we still have space for:
- Jurong West
- Choa Chu Kang (taken)
- Jalan Besar (taken)
- Bukit Batok
- Clementi (taken)
- OCBC Aquatic Centre
- Old Jurong pools: Jurong Town; Boon Lay Garden; Pandan Gardens (closed pools)
- Changi Swimming Club (closed pool)
Please write to kucinta . pools @ gmail . com from now till the end of May. If you'd like to speak on the phone instead, please send me a daytime telephone number and we will ring you.
All contributors whose stories are published will receive a complimentary copy of the SG50 book edition!
